Southwest Direct offers mail tracking using
the PLANET™ Code Confirm® Service
from the United States Postal Service. It
allows clients to track scheduled mail delivery
of incoming and outgoing mail projects in
near real time. Clients can use Confirm®
to track First Class Mail, Standard Mail, Flat Rate Mail,
and Periodical Mail.
Your mail piece is tracked using the POSTNET
Barcode and the PLANET™ Code. These
codes allow you to track your mailing though
the postal service during processing. While
Confirm® does not produce proof of delivery,
it does supply clients information about
the most recent automated scan. For instance,
Confirm® will can tell you that your
mail piece has arrived at the local USPS
processing center and will be delivered
that day.
Confirm® allows you to track mail in
two ways, Origin Confirm for incoming reply
mail as well as Destination Confirm for
outbound mail going to customers. Destination
Confirm is useful for billing and statement mailings,
nonprofit fundraising, time sensitive sales,
and promotions. Origin Confirm is useful
for payment mailers, subscriptions, and
orders. Either way Confirm® can improve
mail efficiency and better coordinate you
direct marketing efforts.
